So without further ado, I give you The Office, in all her *glory*. (I say that with more than a hint of sarcasm, because really, it's just a room. Nothing ground-breaking or terribly original. I fear that by dragging things out like I have, I have made it seem as though it were going to be something stupendous. No. It's really pretty ordinary. (And as you will see, it's very girly-girl, but I did that because I'd always wanted to decorate with pink...and it didn't seem right to subject Matt to that. And hey! I'm a girl! So why not do it for me?)
Impulse buy at Target. I like these little "bulbs". They make me happy while I wait for the real thing.
The story behind the Keep Calm & Carry On poster is here.

The top of the bookshelf is not staying this way. I threw those things up there and was too lazy to take them down and/or do something else. Just one example of the tweaking that needs to be done. The pots will get a coat of white paint (if they stay) and maybe some wheat grass. The fan is a bit small for that spot. I do like the star, though. It's made from one of those old wooden tape measures that fold up, an idea I stole from the JunkMarket girls.
Also, something is needed above that chair, don't you think?
After uploading these photos and looking at them, I realized what a mess this bookshelf is. Magazines falling all over each other, items haphazardly placed. Photo styling is hard work! There's a lot you don't see until it's too late. And since I didn't want to start over, let's just say this is another spot that will be getting some attention. But not now, because I have to cook supper.
Oh, and I think I mentioned in another post that I'm finding the inspiration board a little less than inspiring the way it is, so that's going to be modified in some way, too. Someday.
That's all, folks!

very nice! i love it... the table skirt looks great, the chair cover,
and so do all the other little details... nice work!
Thanks, Kristin. The chair cover is faux. It's just draped over and clipped in back with one of those black paperclip things. I will get to that eventually...as soon as I figure out how to do it!
Love it, love it, love it! I love the pink and green. What a great place to work. And that beautiful window to look out of and daydream. Oh! Never mind, you're supposed to be working. Ha!
Love how the office turned out...I am partial to any room that involves PINK! Can't believe how nice and tidy everything is. I agree with you about photo styling. It always seems like after I post a photo THEN I notice something that I should have tweaked. Oh Well....
Barb!
I love it!!! It's so fresh and pretty!!!
Thanks, everybody. You're all so kind. :-)
