Livin' Loom update. (My nephew used to call it livin' loom and I still love calling it that.)

Console with TV. Not sure about the topiaries. Need something there, but not sure what. Also need something to the left of the console. Going to try using a wicker chair I already have. Right now it's black, which is too dark for the room. Will probably paint it a fun green or blue color, just to add a pop of color. If I do that, the cushions will be white twill. If I paint the chair white, then the cushions will be a fun color.

Speaking of color, I painted the fireplace wall Ice Rink from the Martha Stewart paint line at Home Depot. It's a gray blue color. I've always wondered if I would like an accent color on that wall, and the answer is: not so much. Decided I'd show it here in the interest of "keeping it real". Ha! Will more than likely be painting it greige (gray/beige) before the week is up.
Also in the keeping-it-real department, note the rumpled couches and mismatched crumpled pillows. I am getting so lazy with my pictures. And no, the pillows aren't staying like that. Just need to find the right fabric for some new covers. And the couches are easily smoothed out; I just didn't bother, because hey, the room is nowhere near completion. Just showing it to you as I go.

Another view. Note there are also wrinkles in the slipcovers, not to be confused with the rumples. The slipcovers were in small boxes when they arrived. I had hoped they would smooth out after awhile, but no luck. I think a steamer will do the trick (and I've always wanted one for sewing, so it's win-win.)
Observant readers will note that the paint behind the TV is a different color than the rest of the walls, which are Bleeker Beige from Benjamin Moore. The new paint color coordinates better with the couches and is also BM paint, HC-173/Edgecomb Gray.
So that's my progress so far. Just the bare bones.

Side notes:
The little chair under the clock is from the only yard sale I went to all summer. It was stained and I spray painted it white. $5 bargain. It will probably end up in the office, as it's that type of chair.
Note the baby gate in the doorway. That's to keep Mr. Peabody on the hardwood floor and off our 17-year-old carpet. We have several gates in the house these days, and we're always tripping over them. Hopefully by the new year, we will be baby gate free. The training is going well, but I'm trying not to let him have too much freedom too soon.
Bye for now. Must get to work.

You are a work horse!!! Thanks for keeping us updated as you go along. I agree, I miss the topiaries on the fireplace too. Maybe the tv would be ok by itself. Try it and let us see. :) Kind of like being long-distance neighbors (that can run over for a a minute, just to see how something looks...) Looks great!
А! Really like the graphical design and navigation of the site, easy on the eyes and good content. other sites are just way too overflowing with adds
